At edit.now, I do proof-reading, copy editing, and content editing of academic articles in almost all disciplines that broadly fall within the humanities and social sciences, such as:
| anthropology archaeology economics education ethics geography | history linguistics literature management media performing arts | philosophy politics psychology religion sociolinguistics sociology |
However, I do not edit texts in the natural and applied sciences.
I also edit post-graduate essays, assignments, dissertations, and theses in the above subject areas. I have an ethical approach to editing, which means that although I improve the quality of writing and shape it to academic requirements, I do not do ‘basic writing’ for students and I do not provide ‘content’. In other words, I do not supplement or substitute for intellectual effort, reading, and thought. Nor do I do research. I am an editor, not a creator of texts.
In addition, I mentor post-graduate students who need help with understanding and organizing their academic assignments.
